Jakarta - PT PLN (Persero) said up till now still rampant electricity theft occurred. This not only makes PLN affected, but also the losses due to subsidized electricity stolen.
Senior Manager Corporate Communications PLN, Bambang Dwiyanto, up until now is still a lot of electricity theft committed PLN customers.
"The reality is that does not mean we accuse our customers thieves, but yes in fact there are still a lot of electricity theft," Bambang said when met at PLN Headquarters, Friday (01/04/2013).
Bambang said, of course it is not only PLN are suffering losses, but in fact the affected due to stolen electricity is subsidized electricity.
"It was stolen electrical power subsidy, subsidy means no state money, the state's most disadvantaged," said Bambang.
Frequent mode Bambang said that customers change their own power amps.
"So much amperage electrical switch itself, so it should have its 1300 volt amperes, converted the amperes to 1,000 amps so its turned into a 2200 volt amperes," he said.
It is said Bambang, enabling customers to enjoy electricity with far greater power while charges were still with less power.
"Its a big plus (2200) but the rate corresponding 1300 rates Va., it's lucky for him but loss for the country," he said.
